Berkeley Springs is a popular resort and spa town, with four full service spas using naturally warmed mineral water. It is also a noted arts community with a high population of working artists. Since 1994, the town has been listed in all four editions of John Villani's "100 Best Art Towns in America," one of only 11 towns so rated. The latest edition of America's 100 Best Places to Retire highlights Berkeley Springs as one of the top 10 art towns for retirement. Our Berkeley Springs State Park is the smallest state park in the country and is located at the center of town.
